Information:

Sienna Marble derives its name from its place of origin - The walled city of Siena in central Italy.

Sienna Marble can vary in colour from pale cream to strong yellow or even a deep orangey brown.
The vein structure mainly consists of a series of elliptical shapes interlinked with one another.
It is used on small ornaments, clocks etc. through to large decorative marble columns and wall panels.
Some of the finest examples of this Italian Marble can be found at Westminster Cathedral and The Vatican.

The painted imitation of marble; 'marbling' is taught at various places throughout the world.
